“IT’S DARE!”
There’s a little Gorillaz for you to start off the one and only, the prized, the anticipated…
JUNE PLAYLIST!
Ready. Set. Go.
All My Exes Live in Texas by George Strait: Okay, I was watching a commercial and the couple was singing this and I was like, “I haven’t heard that in a while.” But sadly, none of my exes live in Texas.
Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind: Took me years to figure out that “semi-charm” is meth. Let’s push that out of our heads, this is too catchy for drugs! I remember this song from the summer before my Freshmen year back when I used to blare it after summer school. It always makes me want to dance, or just admire it’s tune.
Bring My Cadillac (cover) by Imelda May: Never owned a Cadillac, but I have drove one. As the proud owner of a Camaro I would hate it if my man ran off with it. They call this style “neo-rockabilly,” which is basically modern rockabilly. Love Imelda May, love her style, and her music.
Bringing Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake: Technically, I don’t actually like this song, but it has good memories behind it. Walking down the high school hallways, busting out in a random “I’m briinnnnngin’ sexy backkkk.” Yeah…all the other kids were jealous of my outgoingness.
My Generation by The Who: What can I say, I love talking about my generation!!! This was playing at work the other day, I had to snap my fingers, I just had too!
Fast Times at Ridgemont High by Sammy Hagar: YEAH BOY! You know what this is from! The scene where Jeff Spicoli driving the Z28 and wrecks it through that building! That one scene has made my bad days better, just yesterday I was watching and nearly peed!
Twist and Shout by The Beatles: “Now shake it up BABY!” Come on, you know you want to go dance to this song. My first dance was with a guy and it was this song. Kinda funny cause he kept stepping on my feet, but I still twist and shout to this jam!
