What’s the “best selling 12-inch single” of all time?!
(Drum roll please!) The 1983 hit by New Order Blue Monday!
For the past three days this song has been playing in my head over and over again!
So maybe you know the title of this song, just not the band. Totally understandable. The song has been covered by many bands.
There’s two that really stick out in my mind.
Flunk did a very soft cover this. It’s an awesome though. Listen to the original, then listen to this, it’s like two different songs. But it does it well! This version was also featured in “Walking Tall.”
The second is by Orgy. The music video is quite interesting. This seems to be the version that most people know! It is pretty close to the original, while it’s also a bit tweaked.
Both covers are fine in my book. That’s all I got for now, so give your ear buds and treat and check out some “Blue Monday!”
